Important center table, Sorrento, attributed to Domenico Gargiulo, in rosewood, walnut, olive briar and other essences, top richly inlaid with volutes and shaped reserves with medallions executed in geometric and floral decoration, and inside classical scenes, shaped band and inlaid with the same technique, modeled central support, resting on four legs depicting winged bats, carved in the round in ebonized wood. Sorrento circa 1880.
